Lauren turns 1

Lauren's birthday was on a Friday this year, and Rob had to work.  Izzy was home from school for Christmas break, so the 4 of us girls went to get pancakes for breakfast.  Lyla was a pain, as usual, so we hurried to eat and went to the grocery store and then came home.  Once Rob got home, we went to get pizza for dinner, came home, opened presents, had cupcakes!  Lauren weighed 23.5 lbs and was 29 1/2 inches long.

The day after Thanksgiving

This was our first Thanksgiving without our family.  We invited one of Rob's friends and his wife over to eat with us because Rob's friend said that they were going to go out to eat.  I cooked almost everything and didn't take one picture.  Awesome.  

The day after Thanksgiving, I usually get up early in the morning and get in line at Kohls.  This year I was too tired, so I just ordered everything online.  I ended up getting better deals, and I didn't have to wait in any lines.  I think that will be my tradition from now on.  Rob had to work that day, so it was just me and the girls.  When I was feeding them breakfast, I kept hearing this strange noise outside.  When I finally looked out the window I saw this:

There is a park right behind our house and they were giving free hot air balloon rides.  We didn't go.  Its too much work for me to wait in line and wrestle Lyla and Lauren.  We just watched out the window instead.

Lauren's 11 months!

This month I remembered to take her measurements!  YEAH!!!  She weighed 22 lbs and was 31 1/2 inches long.  (I started this post back in November when Lauren really was 11 months old - it's a good thing I had already written stuff down because by now I have forgotten).  Lyla and Lauren aren't looking like each other so much anymore.  They definitely have different shaped eyes.

The Phoenix Zoo

My friend Erin and I took our girls to the zoo back in mid-November.  It was a good time, except Lyla was a pill most of the time and then the girls got 'zooed out' so we didn't stay very long. I am also terrible at taking pictures, so I didn't get very many.

Disneyland Oct 2011 - Day 3

On Day 3 we spent the morning in California Adventure so Lyla could get her fill of 'A Bug's Land' and in the afternoon we headed back over to Disneyland so everyone could ride everything we missed on the days prior, or rides that everyone just wanted to ride again.  It was a fun trip, but very tiring with a 2 year old and 10 month old.
