Summer Utah Trip - Day 8

On Tuesday, we didn't leave the house most of the day.  Lyla took Papa Tom and Grandma Jan's Jenga game and started to use the blocks to spell words.  I'm pretty sure this was a heart with her name under it...

Megan had a friend come over who has a little baby boy.  

As you can see, all of my little girls were fascinated with the baby :)

In the late afternoon, all of the grandkids came over to have the annual "cousins camp".  They played and then they all made rockets.  We then went to the junior high and everyone shot their rocket that they made.  That lasted a really.long.time.

Summer Utah Trip - Day 7

After the party at my parents on Sunday night, Rob drove up to Logan to go golfing with his cousins.  I stayed at his parents and then went with my mom and sister Brittanie to my sister Liz's house on Monday.  We planned to have a girls day, plus Rowan, and then Liz's friend was taking pictures of all the grandkids in the afternoon.  We plan to surprise my dad for his birthday (in September) with pictures of all the grandchildren together.

The day started off with a picnic at the common grounds behind Liz's townhome.

Then we went up into the mountains for the pictures.  I'm so thankful that my mom and sister were there to help.  My kids were a HANDFUL!!!  Brittanie told us when we were leaving that all of our kids are her birth control.  Nice...

Summer Utah Trip - Day 6

On Sunday, we spent the day with my family.  My brother and sisters all came for dinner and a birthday party for me, Rich and Willow.  I think the kids all had the most fun playing with each other, and being able to go outside since it isn't so hot in Utah!  I had fun visiting with my siblings too!

Summer Utah Trip - Day 5

On Saturday morning, Rob got up early and took Izzy, Lyla and Lauren with him to go boating with his brother Rick.  I didn't want to take the baby, so I stayed home.  As of right now, the only picture I have of this experience is this one...

Lyla got sea sick, so for a while she and Papa Tom sat in the car.  Poor girl.  In the end, they loved it though!

After the boating adventure, Rob took the girls to his family's cabin.  They were having a birthday party for their cousin Sam!  I stayed home for this adventure too. Thanks to my sister in laws for posting these pics on their blogs!

I spent the day doing things that I would rather do without all my kids.  I went to lunch with my friend Tamara at Village Inn.  Tamara and I used to always go to Village Inn, it only seemed right to relive that tradition.  Tamara and I have been friends since kindergarten!  I wish that I would've taken a pic of us!

After lunch, my parents came to get me and we went to the gluten free bakery downtown.  I bought WAY too much stuff.  I can't help it, all of their treats are SOOO good!

Then we went back to my parents house and hung out.  We also went to visit my Uncle Keith and Aunt Sherrie.  They live a few houses away from my parents.  Lyndsey loved my Uncle.  I think that he loved it too!!!

Summer Utah Trip - Day 4

Not much happened on the 26th.  We needed that day to recover from Lagoon.

I guess I should clarify the above comment.  Not much happened for us on the 26th.  Mickayla went through the temple for the first time today, and everyone went to support but us.  She's going on a mission to Paraguay next month.  She's going to be a GREAT missionary!!!

My parents ward has a summer swim party at the rec center every year, and it happened to be on this day. It didn't start until 8pm, so we had plenty of time to recover!  The girls love to swim, and I was so happy that Rob was OK to get in the pool with them so I didn't have to!!!

Summer Utah Trip - Day 3

LAGOON

On the 25th, it was the Annual Sollis family trip to Lagoon!!! 

Before we went to Lagoon, we drove up to our other home in Layton (no pictures) and checked in on the house.  The people that are renting from us have dogs and Lauren hates dogs.  Grandpa Tom had to protect her as she was screaming bloody murder.  It was nice to see a few of our old neighbors while we were there too!

The girls have been looking forward to Lagoon ALL YEAR long!  They found an old calendar that Aunt Becky made from a trip that they took to Disneyland in 2006 before I met Rob.  They saw a picture of Grandma Jan riding the carousel and had been talking about her riding the carousel with them at Lagoon every since.  Sadly, it was too hot that day for Grandma Jan to come with us.  The girls had tons of fun anyways.  Rob paid a TON of money to his family to keep taking the girls on the different rides for us.  They all loved getting the money!

We were so worn out by dinner time.  We ended up leaving Izzy at the park and Grandpa Tom brought her home.  Rob and I left with the three little ones early!!!
