Nick's visit

My brother Nick came to visit us for a few days right after we got back from Disneyland in October.  Someday I'll get around to blogging about that trip...  He mostly came to see his girlfriend Lisa, but it was nice to be able to spend time with him and have him here to watch the babies so I could run some errands.  Nick and Lisa went to a wedding in Lisa's family and to homecoming.  After Nick got home, Lisa broke up with him.  Neither of them have told me why...

Halloween

For Halloween this year, we just went to the ward Trunk or Treat the Saturday before Halloween.  Izzy really wanted to go out Trick or Treating with her friends on Halloween, but her behavior did not show Rob and I that she was really that interested in going.  She got to stay home instead.  I of course have done a terrible job at taking pictures now, since Lauren broke our camera.  We got a couple family pictures of us at the Trunk or Treat, but the pictures of Lyla and Lauren are from a few days after and Izzy threw away her costume so there isn't any of her. 

Rob wore his Jazz jersey, Izzy was a 'cereal killer', I wore a 70's Brady Bunch costume, Lyla was a tiger and Lauren was a kitten

Lauren is 10 months old!

I'm getting so forgetful in my old age. On Laurens 10 month birthday I forgot to weigh and measure her, but I did remember to take pictures.

Lauren's walking around everything!

Not even 9 months old and already thinks she needs to walk around.  She's even tried to take a step a few times, but isn't strong enough yet!

Lauren is 9 months

At Lauren's 9 month Dr appointment she weighed 21 lbs 3 oz (90th percentile) and was 28 1/2 inches long (85th percentile).  Her head was 100th percentile.  Just like Rob!  She's just such a happy little baby, only cries when Lyla attacks her or when she's hungry or tired.  We are very lucky to have such a sweet baby in our home.

We tried to have her sit on the potty to see if she'd go.  She sat there for 2 hours and held it the whole time.  We felt bad, so we took her to Peter Piper Pizza.

Cheeser!

She NEVER falls asleep in her high chair, but this was one of the few times she did.

Rob bought her a whole box of chocolate cupcakes.  This was her first one.  Apparently she knows how to wink too!

Its a fight to get Lyla to go to bed every night.  She has to have her ipod but even when she's so tired she'd rather lay anywhere else than her bed.  Here she is on the kitchen floor.

Nap time.  If she gets out of her big girl bed I put up the gate.  She slept on the floor for 2 hours.

Sisters

Lauren's crawling!

Lauren has been an absolutely wonderful baby.  She's got a very calm temperament and until now, would just sit down and play with her toys no matter where I put her.  Just before she turned 8 months, she realized how much fun it is to chase Lyla around.  Poor me now!  Just kidding, she needs to grow up sometime!

8 months old!

On August 23rd, Lauren weighed 21 lbs and was 28 inches long.  She's so full of energy and loves to play!  She is so close to crawling, I'm sad about that.

 

On August 20th, I took Lauren to Kiddie Kandids to have her pictures done.  I LOVE Kiddie Kandids but they are super expensive and about 35 minutes away.  Here are some of the AMAZING shots.
