August - sisterly love

I just love these girls!  I'm sad that I don't get more pictures with Izzy in them...

Cute baby!

Lauren is a climber - she likes to sit on top of their kitchen.

The other climber...

Lyla LOVES Lyndsey.  Lyndsey LOVES Lyla, but not Lauren.

Two cute babies! Poor Lauren just woke up in this pic.

Watching the iPad

Happy girl!

So funny!

Lauren loves to read books.  She will read for hours if she isn't interrupted.

Potty training

When we got home from Utah, I decided that I better start to potty train Lyla or I'd end up with 3 kids in diapers.  She did really good at first, but she spent a long time struggling to go #2.  She also would only go potty in the little potty so I had to buy another one (one for upstairs and one for down).  There were multiple times that someone wouldn't dump the little potty out and Lauren would get into it and dump it everywhere.  It was so gross.  We finally told Lyla that she had to start sitting on the big potty.
Lyla's favorite thing to do - put the potty in the family room and play and watch TV
By the beginning of August, we were all sick of the accidents so Rob told her that she could have her own ipad if she stopped for a month.  She immediately quit having accidents, but there were a handful of days where she'd ask for a treat and I'd tell her that she had to go #2 or she couldn't get the treat.  She'd then go sit on the potty like she was a professional.  Little stinker!

Lyla's surgery - August 29th

Since Lyla was born, she's had a raspy voice.  I never gave it a second thought until she went in for her 18 month checkup and the doctor asked if she always talked like that.  I told him that she did and he suggested maybe having an ENT look at her.  I thought it was a dumb idea, but when I went to a different doctor and he said the same thing I gave it a second thought.  It took 6 months for me to think about it, but when Rob decided he was going to quit his job and we had reached our insurance deductible I decided it was time to have her checked.  The Doc suggested doing a procedure where they look at her vocal chords to make sure she didn't have any abnormalities, but it was considered surgery on someone so young.  So on August 29th, we took her to the hospital for the procedure.  She does have nodules on her vocal chords but if they are removed, it'll cause scar tissue and make it worse.  He suggested taking her to a vocal therapist to see if she needs help with how she talks, but I'm too lazy and I think her voice is cute.  Now, Lyndsey has the same raspy voice.

Waiting to go back with the caterpillar my friend Erin gave her.

All ready!

So cute! She's pretending to sleep with Lyndsey.

Lyla's tumbling class

Lyla started taking tumbling back on August 10th.  She has class every Friday.  The first few months she LOVED it.  We had to count down how many sleeps until class every single day.  I think at this point she's over it because she always says that she doesn't want to go.  I'm not sure why the change, Rob has been taking her since Mickayla left so I don't know what's happening in class.

Lyndsey is 2 months - August 6th, 2012

I may never catch up...

At Lyndsey's 2 month check up she weighed 11 lbs 11.5 ounces and was 22.25 inches in length.

She already wants to eat her hand!

I love the chubby babies!
