Today is Lyla Boo's birthday!!! I can't believe this little boo is already 4. It seems like yesterday that Rob and I got home from our honeymoon and SURPRISE, I'm knocked up. That's the story of my life...
On Sunday, the primary kids sang to her. She got to wear a crown, put a candle on the cake and get a treat. She was sooooo looking forward to it!
A few weeks before her birthday, one of her friends had a birthday party. Lyla decided that she wanted one too. There are literally 100's of themes out there. She picked My Little Pony. It took me hours of searching through websites to get the best deal on things. She had to have a pinata, pin the tail on the pony, and karaoke. I gave in and bought the pinata and the game. We used the Rockband game on the Xbox instead of a karaoke machine and then I printed out some pony templates and had the kids decorate them. We also had chicken nuggets and fries for lunch. It was a lot of work!!!
If my sister in law Natalie ever see's this, she will be super embarrassed at my lack of decorating skills. I thought I did pretty good for my first time!
The table... She invited 6 friends plus her and Lauren.
We kept these up for a few days. The puffs are now in Lyla and Laurens room.
I saved him, hoping Lauren will want a pony party too!
Lunch time!
Rockband! The girls just wanted to sing into the microphone.
We opened presents outside.
Cake time!!!
Izzy was at school during the party. When Izzy got home, Lyla opened the presents from us and from my siblings and parents.
Her favorite show is Peppa Pig. She got a collection of stuff that I bought for Christmas, but just saved.
Opening the gift from my sister Liz and her family.
Grandma and Grandpa Cannon's presents.
Yes, that is Christmas wrapping paper. If you remember, Lyla wanted the same gifts that Lauren got for her birthday so my parents sent that stuff for Christmas. They had already sent real Christmas stuff so I just saved it for her birthday.
Lauren was not a fan of it not being HER birthday!
